Grissom entered development project for love of city

It was a dream of the Grissom family — longtime Gadsden business owners — to see progress in the city they love.

Grissom Family Properties purchased the bankrupt Goodyear Golf Club property in 2010, with the goal of a development that would move Gadsden forward.

Now, all but two stores in the 200,000-square-foot development are filled or are about to be complete.

“I never dreamed it would come to fruition this quick,” Grissom said. “Now every time I drive by there, it makes me smile.”
